    You can play football well.

    Task: Today we are going to have a football team and a cheer leading squad(拉拉队).

    Difficult Points:

    1、学生能理解 “ … can … well.” & “ ……badly.”。

    2、学生能理解掌握本单元的词语和词组,特别是catch the ball, control the ball, be good at。

    Focus: Ss can communicate with “Can you …well? – Yes, I can. No, I can’t.”. Ss can express with “I can do sth. well.”

    Teaching Arm: 1. Ss can understand Unit One.

    2. Ss can communicate with “Can you …well? – Yes, I can. No, I can’t.”

    3. Ss try to use “He/She can do sth. well.” to praise others.

    Teaching Steps:

    Step 1: Warm up

    Content: 1. Greeting

    2. Warm up: Listen and Action

    T says the phrases and Ss do the action.

    (play table tennis, play basketball, play volleyball, play football)

    3. Free talk:

    T: Can you play football? (3-4 Ss) – S: Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.

    → Can you play football well?

    板书:Can you ________ well?

    → Ss: Yes, I can.

    贴: I can play football well.

    (Because I can play football well. I am good at football.)

    贴: I am good at football.

    师生换位,教师师范

    T: Yes, I can play … well. I am good at it. → ( S ╳ S) 5

    Purpose: 通过活动使学生注意力尽快集中到课堂上,创造轻松愉快的学习氛围,帮助学生复习旧知识的基础上,扩展新知识。

    Step 2: Lead in

    Contents: 1. Present the task.

    2. Lead to the text and a new words “a football team”.

    Methods: T presents the task: Boys and girls, do you like football?

    We are going to have a football team and a cheer leading squad(拉拉队). 我们将要组建一只足球队,今天需要调查大家的特长以便在队中找到适合的位置。

    首先让我们来看看Sam和 Amy 是怎么接纳Lingling这个新队员的。

    看完录象请你们告诉我“What can Lingling do well?”

    Purpose: 在一上课的时候,设置今天的任务。让学生带着任务进行有目的的学习。同时引入了a football team的教学,并通过问题的回答引入catch the ball的教学。

    Step 3: New Points

    Contents: teach the new words and phrases.

    Details: 1. Catch the ball

    Teacher shows up a ball. And throw it into sky and “catch it”, saying “catch the ball” emphatically.

    s 贴: catch the ball

    s T: Lingling can … (Ss: catch the ball) well.

    s Ask someone “Can you catch the ball well?”, Ss will say “I can.”(Lead them to say the whole sentence) Then “…catch, catch the ball.”

    2. goalkeeper

    s 问最后一个接到球的孩子:

    T: Can you catch the ball well?

    → Ss: Yes, I can.

    T: Maybe you can be a goalkeeper. (亮出教学图片)

    s 板书: goalkeeper

    T: Can you spell it? (write it on the board)

    s Show a picture of Jiangjin

    T: He is a ...( Ss: goalkeeper) [Powerpoint]

    T: He can …well. (Ss: catch the ball) [Powerpoint]

    3. control the ball

    s Show a picture of Haohaidong

    s T: can he catch the ball well? → Ss: he can’t.

    s T: But he can “control the ball” well.

    Purposes: 在基于课文内容的基础上,结合生活实际,帮助学生突破课文出现的新词和重点句型。同时,结合问答活动帮助学生进行新知识的巩固。

    Step 4: Text

    Contents: See the VCD again and fill the form with Lingling’s information.

    Details: Show the form to Ss. ( T: Let’s see the VCD, and find what Lingling can do well or badly.)

    s T: Can Lingling …well? / Can Lingling … well?

    The class answer the questions.

    Purposes: 通过播放生动的教学录像,以轻松简单的方式让学生感受和聆听课文内容。提高学生英语听力水平和理解能力。

    Step 5: Look listen and learn.

    Contents: Ss look listen and repeat the text with tape, then finish the exercises in the activity book.

    Details: T: Now open your English book. Listen and repeat.

    s T: Open your Activity Book and finish the exercises on P.22.

    s * Ask a student to read the questions. (T: I want a student to read the questions)

    * Others read the answers.

    * Teacher writes the answers with projection.

    Purpose: 返回课文,使学生对课文有更深刻的了解,并在课堂练习中得到巩固。

    Step 6: Task

    Contents: accomplish the task.

    Methods: ask, answer and write.

    Details: 1. Teacher asks a girl to the front. She asks another boy questions.

    Teacher shows the form.

    T: … come here. Ask … questions and fill the form.

    2. Group work. “Now do the research like this in the group of four.” [现在请大家在四人小组里像这样进行特长调查,并帮助你的同伴定位。]

    3. Show the result.

    T: Who can be a goalkeeper, stand up. ( 学生成一队)

    T: Who can be a player, stand up. ( 学生成一队)

    T: Who can be a cheer leader, stand up. ( 学生成一队)

    Purpose: 通过完成任务,提供学生一个巩固的情景,语言使用的情景。通过教师示范使学生更清楚活动的方式。在小组活动中,使孩子使用语言的机会更多。

    Step 6: Assignment

    Contents: 1. listen and repeat Module 6 Unit 1

    Step A: 30—25 min, read smoothly.

    Step B: 20—25 min, try recite.

    2. Activity Book.

    Step A: P. 23 Step B: Correct P. 22-24

    3. Finish the form, can introduce the results to the class.
